Kings
upper class
The king during the fuedal system ruled a large area of land and he distributes this land among the lords. In return vassals promised to defend the king's land from invaders.
The rights of kings was simple; they could do anything that they wished since they ruled over all the land and everybody below him in the hierarchy had to adhere to his rules.
Regarding his responsibilities, the king had to make sure his city and land were safe, manage his manors and other small businesses, make sure everybody is doing what they are supposed to because it one class misses something the others will have to suffer too. He also dealt with trading with other kingdoms, such as food supply.
